Album of the month is.. Madness
Madness - The Liberty of Norton Folgate - this is a concept album about an area of London near Shoreditch in the 1800's. If you didn't like Madness the first time round then you're bound to like this as it's a grown-up version - somehow more sophisticated. If you did appreciate Madness in the 80's, you'll love it as they are back working with their original producers Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley......try it out.
Bowie - Reality Live (released 25th January 2010) - from one of his best tours, a double live CD probably with the best band he has ever had musically.
Fyfe Dangerfield - Yellow Moon - gentle crooning and track 8 "She Needs Me" is a classic. Has been likened to David Gray.
Them Crooked Vultures - Them Crooked Vultures - you can taste the margheritas on this one - very loud super band rock in anguished extreme. Formed in Los Angeles in 2009, they performed their first gig in Chicago in August and embarked on a worldwide tour entitled Deserve the Future in October. Unfortunately we missed their live performance in the UK which was December, but they'll be back...
