Norton Bavant Amenity Fund

Everyone enjoys the benefits of having the Village Hall and the Playing Field right on our doorstep; they provide an opportunity to enjoy activities on the field, hold indoor or outdoor events in either the hall or field, and attend social functions meeting and spending time with our neighbours.   This all contributes to a greater sense of community and a better quality of life in Norton Bavant.

In recent years there have been a number of marquee weddings and parties on the field, as well as concerts, BBQs, family sports, art trail stalls, coffee mornings, curry nights, christening or birthday parties in the hall and adjacent grassed area.  The fund owns two event shelters and a big tent, tables, chairs, crockery, glassware and cutlery which can also be borrowed for a small charge.  The hall has disabled access, two toilets and a small kitchen area.  Do please make use of these facilities and enjoy them.  For inquiries about booking the field, hall or equipment, please see the Contacts section on this website.

In order to maintain and improve the Village Hall and Playing Field we need to raise at least £1,500 per annum, mainly for insurance, electricity and grass cutting.  This is done through hire of the hall, field or equipment, fundraising events and voluntary donations.  If you would like to make a small donation, it couldn’t be simpler.  A number of villagers are already doing this by monthly standing order (currently between £3 and £10 per month) or an annual sum, and if you are a taxpayer we can benefit from an additional £25% on top of your donation.  If you would like to contribute to the Norton Bavant Amenity Fund please email Mike Wooldridge.
