Baking Competition Rules – ‘Fit for a Queen’

There are no rules – just a few Guidelines:
You can make/bake/cook anything that goes well with Afternoon Tea. Choose your ingredients and we will signpost that ‘nuts, wheat, gluten, dairy’ have all been used so anyone with severe allergies will be aware
You can choose to make a savoury or sweet dish or both, you can have multiple entries
Be creative and present your entry on a nice dish/platter/cake stand
After judging and once prizes have been awarded, collect your entry and add to the Table on the Field as part of the Afternoon Tea Celebrations for all to enjoy
Children’s Entries:
Children up to 15 can also enter the competition – there will be separate prizes for Children. After judging & prizes have been awarded, children’s entries can be taken home, if preferred, or added to the Table for Afternoon Tea
Timings:
3:30pm – Bring entries to the Village Hall for Judging
4:00pm – Collect your entry and set up on the Field
4:00pm – Enjoy Afternoon Tea on the Field
4:45pm – Toast to the Queen
5:00pm – Village Sports – then the BBQ’s will be lit
Don’t forget you can decorate your entry to enhance its Royal look, be creative!
Judges Decisions are final.
